Noguchi’s Akari series started in 1951, model 1P started in 1973. (This was around the time that Noguchi began experimenting with Akari models that eliminated bamboo ribbing altogether, placing the emphasis on washi that draped over wire armatures.)

Washi paper shade supported by metal frame.

Measurements: 18" height, 9” diameter (including legs), 8” diameter (shade only)
